What is Google Analytics?

According to Google’s support website, it is a free Google product that provides in-depth reporting on how people use your website. Google Analytics shows you how people found your site and how they explored it. From this information, you can get ideas for setting goals for how to enhance your website.

What are Google Analytics Goals?

Goals measure how well your site fulfills your target objectives. A goal represents a completed activity, called a conversion, that contributes to the success of your business. Examples of goals include making a purchase (for an eCommerce site) or submitting a contact information form (for a marketing or lead generation site). Goals can be applied to specific pages or screens your users visit, how many pages/screens they view in a session, how long they stay on your site, and the events they trigger while they are there.

How do I know what Goals I should have?

This is what RedTree does for you!

Any website can have Google Analytics applied to it. You can then begin immediately receiving important information about visitors to your site. We will recommend what Goals should be applied to your Analytics account based on your brand’s objectives. We then generate reports and work with you to achieve the best results for your business.

If you already have a website, you can complete our User Experience (UX) Assessment which will analyze what is and isn’t working for your website. If you don’t have an Analytics account, we will guide you through the process of setting one up and recommend what Goals to apply to help you reach the widest audience and get those all-important conversions.
